The Neighbourhood Cook

Winter is a great time for soup. Don saved some tomatoes from the community garden earlier in the year so we’ll make tomato soup and some garlic bread to go along with it. Use some simple ingredients to create a hearty winter lunch.
Places for each session are limited to eight people so make sure to book by contacting Don.

These basic cooking sessions will start with simple dishes and progress over future sessions. You will learn how to plan & prepare a meal and gain other tips.

Prepare several meals at once by utilizing overlapping ingredients. This allows you to create a range of recipes, which can then be quickly reheated for dinner throughout the week.

We will be creating another simple, tasty meal using food from the Mairehau Neighbourhood Garden.
