Mairehau Community Day
A free, family event is held every March at Mairehau Primary School. It features heaps of exciting rides, a merry-go-round, mini jeeps, a bouncy castle, face painting, and lots of fun for everyone. The day out is a great opportunity to meet other families and residents in Mairehau.
It also features information stalls set up by different organisations and services in the area. The Mairehau Community Day began in 2008 after local children asked for a fun, community event, and it continues to grow each year.
Thank you to the Papanui-Innes Community Board and The Tindall Foundation for their generous support of the Day.

Neighbourhood Trust is pleased to offer free English (ESOL) lessons to newcomers and migrants with English as a second language, or with low levels of English.
The one-hour long, daytime classes, are taught by a qualified ESOL teacher and are run once a week on Tuesday or Thursday. Lessons cover conversation; grammar; punctuation; reading; and understanding common Kiwi phrases and the context of them in everyday language.
The classes are designed to be fun and engaging, and to suit the individual needs of the student.
